Emma Raducanu advanced to round three in three of the four major tournaments this year.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her remaining competitions this season because of a medical condition she has been fighting for the last week and a half.

The 22-year-old was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to regain her health before starting her preparations for 2026.

Those preparations will involve coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.

She had her blood pressure taken while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan and retired when losing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She again required medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

Her movement was with clear difficulty in the final set versus Zhu owing to a lower back issue that has been a concern at times this year.

Those results followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the top 30 globally after more than three years in more than three years, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points then was defeated by Jessica Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.

She secured 28 matches in the current season and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami event in March.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament then falling in three sets to the world number four Pegula.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in for the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in late this year.

Raducanu told that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

She nearly succeeded to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
