A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the metropolis of Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a nation battling rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the city centre on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials stated the forty-year-old media personality was accosted by a trio of assailants, one of whom shot at him before running away.
The purpose of the shooting remains unclear and no one has been arrested are in custody, according to authorities.

Police said that Stock was attacked as he was leaving a location near the city center landmark.
