Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a trip to speak to defense personnel in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he engaged with soldiers at the military base of the initial brigade of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya sector, a town approximately 12 miles from Pokrovsk.

Intense Circumstances in the Region

Geospatial data from a Ukrainian project revealed that invading troops had pushed further into Pokrovsk and its environs, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by either side. The status is precarious, with accounts indicating that Russian forces were digging in and strengthening posts in various sectors.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk sector and seem to be functioning with increasing comfort within the city proper.

Research institutes observed that defense units had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk campaign.

National Drone Strikes Deep Inside the Federation

National unmanned aircraft attacked an industrial plant approximately 1,300km inside the federation at Sterlitamak. Local officials confirmed a blast at the Sterlitamak facility that caused its water treatment facility to be compromised, adding that the origin of the detonation was unconfirmed. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the complex.

National forces reported hitting a fuel processing plant at Kstovo in the Russian region east of Moscow. The degree of impact was under evaluation. The territorial leader confirmed an attack by 20 drones near the refinery.

Ukrainian Leader's Calls for International Support

The national leader appealed to Washington to stay receptive to providing Ukraine with extended-distance arms. Addressing a European Union summit from the eastern front, the Ukrainian president also requested more western sanctions on the federation – including on fuel and power segments – and said he desired European Union membership by the end of the 2020s.

Global Assistance and Foreign Policy Updates

The European nation plans to increase defense support to Ukraine by €3bn next year to about a significant sum, the treasury department in the German government said on the start of the week. This includes, among other things, cannons, aerial vehicles, protected carriers and the replacement of two Patriot systems.
